Finally

It’s been over two years since my father died and I made a promise to myself, that I would create a resource for people who needed help in dealing with everything involved with an aging parent.  Even managing the last years of their lives.  When my dad fell and started to have issues with his health, both physical and mental, I thought “hey, I am a fairly Internet savvy person” and I was certain there were tons of websites and resources out there to help deal with a myriad of things surrounding his failing health.

What I found was that there were tons of things out there, actually too many. I wanted to find that one website or resource that would help our family manage our dad’s care, deal with his many doctors, his rehab, the financial workings, insurance, my mom’s care, his impending death and a whole list of items.  Unfortunately, that never happened and as I mentioned earlier, I made a promise to myself to do something about it.  So I started this blog.  I figured, what better time to start something new than on Easter Sunday, a day of new beginnings.   Not sure what direction things will take, but I know in talking with almost everyone I meet, that many are faced with the same situation my family was a few years ago.  So here is my simple plan, start talking about it and do something.  This blog is that start.
